Wind Winging is one of the fastest-growing water sports in the world. We want to inspire and help people join the sport and enjoy Wind Wing sports in all its forms.
KA is committed in the growth and development of the sport as it explodes across Australia. KA looking to provide structure and governance across the emerging forms of the sport, create a series of national participation style events and deliver an insurance offering to align with the needs of the wind wing community.
Kiteboarding Australia is a non-for-profit membership based organisation, predominantly run by a group of passionate volunteers. All proceeds of membership will be invested into increasing member benefits, outcomes and inspiring participation in the sport.
By joining our winging specific membership, you will have access to great benefits whilst enjoying the sport, including:
Public Liability Insurance. Wind Wingers need to take account of other water and beach users as there is risk, particularly for those on foils. If you get involved in a collision or lose control of your gear on the beach then we have you covered – with up to 20 million AUD in liability insurance.
Personal Accident Insurance. The personal accident policy covers you for expenses that may arise if you hurt yourself Wind Winging. This aspect of the insurance also covers you for loss of income if you are unable to work due to your accident.

Entry to KA events. We have recently formed a National Wing committee that is developing new events for the Winging community across the country. Your membership will let you participate with insurance during any Wind Winging event sanctioned by KA.
Gear expos. Find out about the latest gear and new trends in the sport at one of our gear expos. Run in all states, they bring retailers and manufacturers together to showcase the new and exciting.
Supporting training & development. KA is working with our accredited Kitesurfing schools and dedicated Winging schools on specific Wind Winging development programs. Our goal is to make sure anyone learning and developing in the sport is given a safe, enjoyable and progressive experience. Your membership will also allow you to participate in any winging development clinics. Check out our event calendar to make a booking.
Beach Access & Advocacy. Access to your favourite beaches around the country is fundamental to your enjoyment of the sport. KA is committed to representing the sport to local councils and government bodies to assist with open beach access for Wind Winging.
