Instructor Re-Validation
Welcome to Kiteboarding Australias Re-Validation Portal.
Re-validation is about making sure that you are up to date and appropriately qualified to be delivering kiteboarding instruction.
The re-validation process for your Kiteboarding Australia instructor qualification can be achieved simply in two ways:
1. Attend a 1 day re-validation course (You must re-validate through this process at least once every six years)
or
2. Evidence a minimum of 30 instructor hours over the last 12 months (shadow hours or a signed declaration of your teaching hours) & a reference confirming your upkeep in instructor hours from a senior instructor (e.g. school manager)
In order to re-validate, you need to hold an Instructor Kiteboarding Australia membership, complete the following form with the following:
- A valid first-aid certificate
- A valid boat licence
- Current Working With Children Check
- Completed Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction course which can be found for free on the Sport Integrity website here https://elearning.sportintegrity.gov.au/login/index.php
- Completed Shadow Hours -
- Paid revalidation fee ($120) - (https://www.kiteboardingaus.com.au/shop/4334) or sign up to the next re-validation course ($200)
If you have not been an active teacher over the last 12 months, you will be required to attend the next re-validation course, please email contact@kiteboardingaus.com.au for the next available session.
