Membership Benefits

Joining Kiteboarding Australia comes with many great benefits for kitersurfers and wingers. Our membership is structured into two streams Kiteboarding & Winging Only membership – each stream has a different scope of activities included under the membership. 

Kiteboarding Australia is a non-for-profit membership based organisation, predominantly run by a group of passionate volunteers. All proceeds of membership will be invested into increasing member benefits, outcomes and inspiring participation in the sport. 

Public Liability Insurance

Kitesurfing & Winging is an extreme sport and whether on the water or on the beach there are risks. We have the most comprehensive public liability insurance for extreme water sports giving you up to 20m AUD in cover. Public liability coverage includes recreational participation. 

Personal Accident Insurance

The personal accident policy covers you for expenses that may arise when you hurt yourself kitesurfing or winging. This aspect of the insurance also covers you for loss of income if you are unable to work due to your accident. Personal accident coverage includes recreational participation.

Entry to KA events

Kiteboarding Australia in conjunction with our state association & sanctioned event organisers facilitate a magnitude of events of the year, they include kitesurfing and winging events across free riding, downwinder, freestyle, racing & freestyle disciplines. Your membership will let you participate with insurance during kitesurfing or winging event sanctioned by KA.

Supporting training & development

KA has a well-established school and instructor network across Australia. Our goal is to make sure that anyone learning and developing in the sport is given a safe, enjoyable and progressive experience. Beach Access & Advocacy

Access to your favourite beaches around the country is fundamental to your enjoyment of the sport. KA are committed to representing the sport to local councils and government bodies to assist with open beach access for kitesurfing.

Community

Kiteboarders are a friendly bunch and joining our membership based organisation will bring you into a community of like minded kiteboarders & wingers. Meet new people, make new buddies and share the stoke with this epic water sport community.
