Wave Nationals moved to Phillip Island, Victoria - March 25 - 27th, 2022
Published Mon 14 Feb 2022
The 2022 Wave Nationals as part of the Cabrinha National Wave Series have been moved to Phillip Island between the 25th and 27th of March, 2022.
The event was originally planned to go ahead in Margaret River between the 10-13th of February, 2022. However due to altered border restrictions, the Nationals could not go ahead in WA. The Margaret River Classic went ahead and we look forward to returning to Margaret River for the Nationals next summer (2022/23). However, we didn't want to finish the year without running a Wave Nationals - therefore the Phillip Island Wave Nationals were formed with the help and support of Kiteboarding Victoria.
Given the relative late change in location, we ask that riders register asap to assist with the planning of the event.
The event is the pinnacle of the Cabrinha National Wave Series. The contest will see some fantastic wave riding at the iconic Phillip Island. The 3 day event will bring together the community from across Australia to battle it out for the Australian Titles.
Phillip Island has many great local accommodation & food locations. In the event of no-wind laydays, there is a magnitude of other activities to be done including world class surfing & touring the sights.
Location
Woolamai, Flynns Reef, Surfies Point and Right Point - Phillip Island.
All locations are on Phillip Island and work in different wind and wave conditions. The event will be centred at Woolamai with the capacity to move to alternative locations based on wind conditions.

25th - 27th of March, 2022.

Conditions
Wind: March is a great time for wind in Phillip Island. Wind can prevail from different directions at this time of year.
