Wave

The Wave Nationals took place at Margaret River, WA and brought together some incredibly talented wave riders from all across Australia. The Main Break delivered incredible conditions, with a combination of wind, swell and sunshine, setting the scene for a great 4-day event on and off the water.

Wing Wave

KA is excited to grow the wave discipline with the addition of two extremely successful wing foiling events in NSW and QLD this season. We look forward to further expanding wing foiling wave events across the country as the sport grows and gains more popularity in Australia.

It was all round good vibes at the events with a lot of foil froth happening. Being the inaugural wave events in Australia, both the organisers and competitors alike were on a learning curve as to how the event would play out. We were thrilled to receive overwhelmingly positive feedback with a clear desire for more wing wave events around the country.

A big thank you to our key Wave Series event partner, Duotone, for not only providing contribution to the event, but also playing a key hand in helping organise the events.

Instructor Courses

Andy Gratwick from the British Kite Sports came all the way to Australia to work with our training and education team on rolling out the wing foiling instructor courses in February 2023.

Kiteboarding Australia is committed to the progressive and safe development of kiteboarding and wing foiling sports and all of its members. We have a well-established school and instructor network, which allows us to collaborate across the country and deliver the highest standards of learning and development with the ultimate goal of ensuring a safe, enjoyable and progressive experience for beginners as well as those wishing to take their kiteboarding or winging skills to the next level.

Over the past 6 years, the KA school accreditation program has grown to a network of 37 schools Australia wide. The schools are an integral part to the safe development of the sport, and we value the partnerships we have with our schools and instructors. If you have a friend or family member wanting to learn to kite or wing, why not refer them to our find a school page?
