Sydney Kiteboarding Accident

A young man tragically passed away on the weekend following a kiting accident at a popular kiteboarding spot in Sydney last weekend.

On behalf of the KA Board and the broader kiteboarding community, our sincerest condolences have been extended to the family; a family who have contributed greatly to the collective KA and KNSW cause over many years. They have requested their privacy which we kindly ask members to respect.

The wellbeing and safety of all our members is paramount and for those KA/ KNSW members who witnessed the incident, our membership Personal Accident insurance includes significant cover for Counselling Support services that we encourage them to utilise.
