Congratulations to Kiteboarding Australia's new President Rhys Higham

After 10+ years of service to the Kiteboarding Australia & South Australia collective, Rhys Higham has been unanimously elected as our new President of Kiteboarding Australia. Rhys has a proven track record on delivering positive results for the sport and we look forward to continuing to grow under Rhys’ leadership.
Will Chapman has stepped down after 2 years as KA President but will continue to support Rhys in his new role. During his tenure as President, Will has had a profound impact in growing KA’s financial stability, building strong relationships with our State Associations and members, and has created a foundation for our sport to grow into the future. On behalf of KA, we would like to thank Will for his dedication to our organisation and we look forward to him continuing in his supporting role as Vice - President.
Further to the above KA held our Annual General Meeting last week on the 30th of October. Two elected director positions were open for election with Meg Delahoy and Rhys Higham having held positions on the board for the past 2 year, having to vacate or renominate for another 2 year tenure.
Meg Delahoy having served the board as a Director since 2017 elected to vacate her position to pursue study/work opportunities. Meg has been a great advocate for the sport over the last two years bringing a fresh approach and perspective to the KA operation. KA sincerely thanks Meg for her service to the Board and the sport and wish her the very best for her future endeavours.
With three qualified candidates to choose from the State Associations elected Rhys Higham and Sean Webb to the board as Directors of KA for the next two year.
Sean Webb has held the position of Director of Safety and Accreditation for many years and has played an integral role in developing Kiteboarding Australia's training and accreditation program. Rhys Higham has championed Kiteboarding Australia's event program, providing a strong structure to the organisation and to the delivery of events, both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the KA board.
The retention of Sean and Rhys see the Kiteboarding Australia board in a good position for the coming 2 years, the existing board having worked closely together in a cohesively manner in recent times. With a talented board & diverse set of skills, the organisation is poised to continue its positive journey and growth well into the future.
