Become a Level 1 Accredited Instructor!
All Wind Wing / Wing Foil Instructor Training Courses (ITC’s) are run in conjunction with Kiteboarding Australia and are open to all members of the association who are of a suitable standard of riding proficiency/experience.
The aim of Level 1 ITC course is to produce good, competent, keen and professional Wing Foiling instructors. The emphasis on the course is around safety, communication skills, professional attitude and conduct as an ambassador for the sport of Winging. The instructor course is a comprehensive and up to date ITC which includes the entire Wing Foiling teaching scheme as licensed from the BKSA and career path and details on working in the Australia and overseas.
The course is designed to offer an opportunity for existing wing sports instructors such as kitesurfing, windsurfing and sailing instructors to become accreditted in a reduced amount of time. And also offer a course for instructors who have not taught any wind sports previously.
Accreditation Requirements
Riding proficiency is explained and detailed on the pre-entry form, which must be completed and returned directly to the Recognised Wind Wing School hosting the relevant course. Further to this all candidates must also hold:
- A valid powerboating qualification
- A valid First Aid qualification or equivalent
- A valid Kiteboarding Australia Membership
- Current Working With Children Check
Course Duration
The duration of the course depends on previous instructor qualifications. If you have either a kiteboarding, windsurfing or sailing instructor qualifiocation, you may be eligible to complete the course in 2 days.
Existing Instructor - 2 days
New Instructor - 4 days
