Be accredited by Kiteboarding Australia (existing instructors)

Have you been instructing for awhile and want to come on board with the KA Curriculum? Attend a conversion course and requalify with us!

The purpose behind this course is to bring instructors up to date on the new Kiteboarding Australia Curriculum teaching practice, the Kiteboarding Australia school structure and standards and the Kiteboarding Australia instructor route.
 
Upon completion of the conversion course and level 1 Kiteboarding Australia instructor exam you will receive a Kiteboarding Australia instructor number.  Your new qualification will need revalidating every 3 years by attending one of the re-validation courses provided by the Kiteboarding Australia. In addition, we will keep you up to date on changes to best practice teaching and risk management throughout the period you are qualified.

Enrolment Requirements

• hold a current qualification under an approved curriculum;*
• hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate;
• be at least 16 years old;
• comply with State/Territory legislation including, but not only, child protection laws (if applicable in that state) and powerboating laws; and
• have paid the required Fee.

*if your qualification is not current, proof of continued instruction may be sufficient to gain entry. Please email for further details.

Course Duration & Format

The candidate will attend a half day classroom based talk to gain an insight into the way Kiteboarding Australia operates, potential career progression and teaching methods  as used in Australia including legalities and insurance.

The candidate will be shadowed delivering a course or part of a course at the school or to mock students.

A Kiteboarding Australia level 1 instructor’s exam must be completed and a pass of 80% must be gained.

A candidate may be asked to attend a second day to complete the conversion course at the Examiners discretion.
