The course is an online course and will require you to complete the accreditation process to be fully recognised. Please read the email once you have registered, which will contain all of the relevant information. 

The Kiteboarding Australia (KA) Instructor Conversion Course is designed for instructors with prior qualifications, such as IKO, who wish to gain recognition under the KA framework. This course provides a streamlined pathway to have your existing skills and experience formally recognised, allowing you to teach at KA-accredited schools across Australia.

Through this course, participants will gain an understanding of KA’s teaching methodologies, safety standards, and operational requirements. The program ensures that all instructors meet national standards while benefiting from the support and credibility of KA’s instructor network.

Whether you’re an experienced instructor looking to align with KA or seeking new opportunities within the Australian kiteboarding industry, this course is your gateway to becoming a recognised KA Instructor.

Course cost: $200 

Accreditation Requirements

  • hold a current qualification under an approved curriculum;*
  • Hold a valid Kiteboarding Australia Instructor Membership; 
  • hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate;
  • be at least 16 years old;
  • comply with State/Territory legislation including, but not only, child protection laws and powerboating laws; and
  • have paid the required Fee.
