Enrolment requirements
Riding proficiency is explained and detailed on the pre-entry form, which must be completed and returned directly to the Kiteboarding Australia recognised school hosting the relevant course. Further to this all candidates must also hold the following to become certified:
- A valid powerboating qualification
- A valid Apply First Aid qualification or equivalent
- A valid Kiteboarding Australia Membership
- Shadow teaching (at a Kiteboarding Australia recognized (or approved) school)
- 150 hours of logged teaching hours an an instructor in a Kiteboarding Australia school
- Minimum 6 months as a valid Kiteboarding Australia instructor
Kiteboarding Australia can put you in touch with centres for training in all of the above. Some of this training may be done after the start of the ITC, if so your pass or otherwise will be dependent on completion of that training. Specific questions on this should be sent through as to your case.
The Importance of a Senior Instructor
- Required to teach and run a Kiteboarding Australia accredited school
- Can teach ip to 4 students with two kite on the water once registered
- Can teach advanced coaching
