Accreditation Requirements
Riding proficiency is explained and detailed on the pre-entry form, which must be completed and returned directly to the Kiteboarding Australia recognised school hosting the relevant course. Further to this all candidates must also hold the following qualifications which can be completed following the L1 ICT course but are needed for accreditation:
- A valid powerboating qualification
- A valid Apply First Aid qualification or equivalent
- A valid Kiteboarding Australia Instructor Membership
- 20 hours of shadow teaching (at a Kiteboarding Australia recognised (or approved) school). Your examiner in the course will determine the number of hours required and KA can help you find a school if needed.
- Current Working With Children Check relevant to your state
Kiteboarding Australia can put you in touch with centres for training in all of the above. Some of this training may be done after the start of the ITC, if so your pass or otherwise will be dependent on completion of that training. Specific questions on this should be sent through as to your case.
