KWA 2024/25 Female Development Series - Wing Foiling Clinic with Apex Kiteboarding (click here)

What to expect 

This development clinic is the right thing for you if you want to spend an afternoon with like-minded women, experience winging or work on your skills. You can expect small friendly groups with coaching from experienced instructors. The content will be tailored to your goals and the session will be a great way to experience progression and get some tips from the expert. Focus areas could include equipment choice, how to get going, stance, gybes, wing position and flying.  

The clinic is planned for 9 November from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm with riders meeting at Melville Beach Rd, Applecross [more details will be shared closer to the date]. Please keep the day flexible to allow for time adjustments due to wind conditions etc. 

Note: the clinic may be cancelled or postponed if we do not get enough wind. Potential backup dates will be communicated at that time. 

Participation requirements

1. The clinic is for ladies of all ages. 
2. All riders need to be confident swimmers. 
3. You must bring a wetsuit, sunscreen, water etc to the session. Please let us know if you have winging equipment which you will bring to the session (see the question in the registration form).
4. To participate you need to be a Kiteboarding Australia/KWA Member (single event membership is available, see more information below).
5. Event registration is essential - click on the 'Register' button. This is in addition to membership sign-up if you are not an existing KA member.
6. Please include a valid phone number in your registration profile.
7. Communications with your instructor ahead of the session will likely be via WhatsApp, please have the app installed!

KA Membership

To participate you need to be signed up as KA member (Full or Winging Only Membership). 

If you are not a member yet, you can choose one of the following options:

Full Adult new membership - $190 or $105 for Winging Only [Renewal $165 (Full)/$87(Winging)]. If you plan to attend two or more events this season and want to support our sport, sign up here for a full annual membership for Kiteboarding Australia. This lets you participate in all Kiteboarding Australia events, competitions and clinics and will give you access to insurance, including recreational public liability and personal accident insurance. 

Price for non-KA/KWA Members: $165 ($169.90 inc. fees). Consider becoming a full member if you plan to attend two or more KA events this season and want to support our sport. If you do not want to become a member, you can select the non-member registration option. The cost for this option is higher as it covers the cost for a single event membership.
