King of the Pond 25 presented by Core Kiteboarding, part of the Core National Big Air Series, is back for January 2025. Big Air Kite Competition in Perth, Australia.

The Comp will have a window period of January 2025 and will only run in 25+knots of wind. A 'yellow light' will be called 48 hours before and a 'green light' 24 hours before the event, by the Event Director.

𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘀:

• Full Kiteboarding Australia Member - $113.80 (including booking and merchant fee)
• None KA Member - $190.30 (including one day licence, booking and merchant fee)
• If you are not a Kiteboarding Australia Member, you can still enter the event as an Event Only Member 2024/25. One-day event licence fees which cover you for the whole event are $75 which are included in the registration fee. Sign up for Membership and select the free 2024/25 Event Membership option. This will allow you to create and log in to your profile, and then sign up for the event. Visit here for a how-to video! 

Registrations MUST be paid promptly upon confirmation of your invitation before 7 January 2025. The registration fee serves two purposes: it will contribute to the prize money for the competition and is our guarantee that the invited rider will, in fact, attend. If payment is not received before 7 January, the spot will be offered to another competitor and you will not be able to compete.

The event is based on INVITATION ONLY. Applications have now closed. ONLY REGISTER IF YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED TO COMPETE. 

Your video will be judged as per the following weighting:

• 60% Height. Go as hard and high as possible. The height in combination with move difficulty is a priority, but we will also take the horizontal distance travelled into account.

• 40% Technicality. Controlled, extreme, difficult, high moves. Think about extremely powered and/or extremely technical, or ultimately a combination of this as long as it is performed at a proper height.
Your videos will judged by our panel of judges and the highest-ranked entries will be invited. You can enter as many times as you like. Only your latest entry will count!
