Video Entries are OPEN!!!!!

The King of the Pond 2024/25 presented by Core Kiteboarding, part of the Core National Big Air Series, is back for January 2025. Big Air Kite Competition in Perth, Australia.

The Comp will have a window period of January 2025 and will only run in 25+knots of wind. A 'yellow light' will be called 48 hours before and a 'green light' 24 hours before the event, by the Event Director.

The event is based on INVITATION ONLY. To apply for invitation, please submit your best video entry.

Your video will be judged as per the following weighting:

• 60% Height. Go as hard and high as possible. The height in combination with move difficulty is priority, but we will also take the horizontal distance travelled into account.

• 40% Technicality. Controlled, extreme, difficult, high moves. Think about extremely powered and/or extremely technical, or ultimately a combination of this as long as it is performed at a proper height.
Your videos will judged by our panel of judges and the highest-ranked entries will be invited. You can enter as many times as you like. Only your latest entry will count!

How to submit your video entry: 

- Upload to YouTube

- Max 45 seconds 

- YOU MUST SHOW VIDEO OF YOUR LANDINGS AND RIDING OUT WITH CONTROL IN ORDER FOR YOUR TRICKS TO COUNT 

- Upload your video to Instagram and add Kiteboarding WA as a 'collaborator'

𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘀:

• Full Kiteboarding Australia Member - $113.80 (including booking and merchant fee)
• None KA Member - $190.30 (including one day licence, booking and merchant fee)

Registrations MUST be paid PROMPTLY on confirmation of your invitation before 1 January 2025. The registration fee serves 2 purposes, it will contribute to the prize money for the competition and it is our guarantee that the invited rider will in fact be attending. If payment is not received before 1 January, you will not be able to compete.
