The level 1 instructor course is a 5 full-day course. We are planning an instructor course over two weekends to allow those who work through the week the opportunity to get involved. Equipment will be provided. The course dates will be:
- Friday 17 November (5pm-8pm),
- Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November (8am-5pm)
- Friday 24 November (5pm-8pm),
- Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 November (8am-5pm)
An instructor course is an awesome opportunity to learn new skills, open a new career pathway or make yourself more comfortable showing mates how to kite.
The course is fun & interactive, you will get the opportunity to spend time at the beach in real-life practical situations as well as spend time learning the critical information needed to teach beginner kiteboarders safely.
Enrollment requirements
Riding proficiency is explained and detailed on the pre-entry form, which must be completed and returned directly to the Kiteboarding Australia recognised school hosting the relevant course. Further to this all candidates must also hold the following:
- A valid powerboating qualification
- A valid HLTAID011 Provide first aid qualification or equivalent
- A valid Kiteboarding Australia Membership Sign up here
- Shadow teaching (at a Kiteboarding Australia recognised (or approved) school) – let us know if this will be a problem
- Valid Working With Children Check when teaching children
Kiteboarding Australia can put you in touch with centres for training in the above. Some of this training may be done after the start of the ITC. You cannot become accredited without the completion of the training. Specific questions on this should be sent through as to your case.
Course Cost $1300 plus $1 merchant fee
