2022 Freestyle State Titles

The Freestyle titles are just around the corner, and once again will be held at Semaphore South. This is KSA's premier event, which will be run on the 5th and 6th of Feb 2021 (with the following 3 weekends as back up).

What you need to know:

 

When: This event will happen across a four week window starting on the weekend 5th and 6th of February, with the following weekend as a back up.

Where: The event will take place Semaphore South Beach

Sign up: Online sign up only. Sign up by Saturday the 19th.

Entry Fee: $40, which includes lots of cool stuff: You get

  • Official limited edition event T-shirt.
  • Cool drinks throughout the weekend;
  • Lunch during the event and pizza during presentation afterwards
  • Pick from the prize table;
  • Trophies;
  • Bragging rights;
  • A super fun experience/weekend!

Divisions:

  • Ride Progression
  • Intermediate (no trick restrictions, however wouldn't expect to place top 10 of Open or Masters categories)
  • Juniors (<18yr)
  • Open womens 18+
  • Open mens 18+
  • Masters (35+ and wouldn't expect to place top 6 of Open)

Eligibility: You do need to have a current KSA membership to sign up and participate in this event. Alternatively you can purchase a KSA event membership that will cover you for this event only. Judging information: Tricks will be scored in accordance with the National Freestyle Series Rule book, which can be found on the KSA Website (https://www.kiteboardingaus.com.au/safety/freestyle-kiteboarding-rules-guideline/)

The Ride Progression category is a compulsory format judging a; pop jump, toeside riding with transition, 2m+ sent kite jump, display of speed and control.

Presentations: Presentations will take place straight after the event has completed at the SSLSC, a lunch order, dinner and drinks will be supplied for entrants.
