Jingle All The Way

We are very excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for this year's Redkite Santa Downwinder. This Christmas, Kiteboarding Western Australia will be bringing back the famous Redkite Downwinder, Santa style, in a bid to raise as much money and awareness as possible for the remarkable children’s charity Redkite.

Where:             Leighton Beach – South Trigg Beach ( SEE BELOW MAP FOR MEETING POINT)
When:              Sunday 19th December
Cost:                 $45 (plus $75 one-off event membership fee for non-KWA members)

Kiteboarding WA has been supporting Redkite for over 10 years. Redkite provides essential and practical support for families who have a child with cancer across Australia. Last year, the kite community successfully raised nearly $10,000 for the amazing cause, which is truly a huge credit to everyone involved.

This event is the perfect time for you to take part in a downwinder, whether you are a newbie to kiting or an all-time pro on Perth’s best downwinder route. We’ll have safety boats and a halfway get-out point to make sure all of Santa’s sleighs end up back at the after-party. The downwinder will begin at Leighton Beach finishing in South Trigg Beach (17 km) or there will be the option to get out at Floreat Groyne. We are aiming for a sea of Santas so get your outfits at the ready and give us your best Santa Claus impersonation!

Once you’ve completed your 17km shift delivering presents, all Santas will get together for a well-deserved cold tinny, barbecue and refreshments at The Orange Box!! Our team of elves have been busy securing a sleigh full of awesome goodies as well as a number of spot prizes for the kiters who raise the most money!
